An undercover operation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) Special Investigations Section targeting online predators resulted in nine arrests during November. The operation, dubbed “Operation Cold Turkey,” aimed to protect children by apprehending individuals attempting to meet minors for sexual encounters.
The suspects, identified as Domingo Sebastian, Joiarib Fernandez, Marquee Lewis, Sampson Graham, Edwin Huggins, Ancel Sterling, George Davis, Christian Reyes, and Donavon Spears, face charges of traveling to meet a minor for sex, using a computer to solicit a minor for sex, and using a two-way communication device to commit a felony.
Christian Reyes faces an additional charge of possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony. All suspects were arrested after traveling to predetermined locations where they believed they would meet minors.
“Operation Cold Turkey” received assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Crestview Police Department, Fort Walton Beach Police Department, Niceville Police Department, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Office of Special Investigations.
The OCSO stated that the operation is part of its ongoing efforts to protect children from online predators.
