Former Northwest Florida State College Guard Heads to Canadian Basketball League

Jared Wilson-Frame, a former Northwest Florida State College and University of Pittsburgh guard, signed with the Ottawa BlackJacks for the 2022 season.ย 

The BlackJacks are a part of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. The league has ten teams around Canada and features mostly Canadian players.ย 

The 6โ€™5โ€™โ€™ guard from Connecticut played for the Raiders and the Panthers. While at Northwest Florida State College, Wilson-Frame and the Raiders went 58-9 over two years.ย 

In 2021, Wilson-Frame played in the NBA G-League and the Mexican LNBP.ย 

While with the G-Leagueโ€™s Salt Lake Stars, Wilson-Frame averages 16 points and 4.4 assists per game.ย

About the CEBL

The Canadian Elite Basketball League is a professional menโ€™s basketball league founded in 2017, which currently has ten teams on the roster.ย 

Teams are located in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador.ย 

The league plays during the summer.ย 

The Edminton Stingers are the reigning league champions.

Wilson-Frame’s new team, the Blackjacks, have not yet had a winning season in their two campaigns.ย 

Their first year, in 2020, the team finished 3-3.

In 2021, the team ended their year with a 4-10 record.ย 

Both years, the team made it to the Semi-Final round of the playoffs.ย
