Sun Country Airlines will become the newest airline to head to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport for Spring Break when it starts service between Destin-Fort Walton Beach and Minneapolis, Minnesota.ย

The first flight between the Twin Cities and our area on the airline will take place April 12, 2023.ย 

Sun Country plans to fly between the two cities four times per week in a Boeing 737 and will โ€œoperate outside of core business hours.โ€

โ€œWe are excited to provide new service to northwest Florida,โ€ said Grant Whitney, Chief Revenue Officer, Sun Country. โ€œSun Country offers the most nonstop Florida destinations from MSP, and we are confident that Minnesotans and Midwest vacationers will love the white sand beaches that have made the Florida Panhandle famous.โ€

Travelers can book their flights now for next Spring, should they choose to do so.ย 

Sun Country Airlines, based in Minneapolis and St. Paul has 98 routes that service 78 airports around North America. They consider themselves a hybrid of low-cost air travel with their charter and cargo services.ย
