Northwest Florida State College will act as ground zero for the nation’s next great debaters and forensics experts this June. 

Javier Kowalchuck, an organizer with Incubate Debate, a non-profit focused on debate, says the camp gives kids a chance to try debate. The program aims to “give rural and urban middle and high school students in Florida the skills and confidence to learn about, discuss, and debate important issues shaping their communities and our country.”

The camp will take place on NWFSC campus between Friday, June 10th and Sunday, June 12th. 

The program is free to all kids and welcomes students of all skill levels. Kowalchuck says the program will teach young people about debate, public speaking, government and the constitution. 

Lunch, snacks and refreshments will be provided as part of the program.
