Cities issue development orders once plans for a project have been approved by the relevant body in the town. Typically, developers must apply and obtain a development order from the city.

Once a developer has a development order, they can apply for a construction permit to ensuretnsures that the building code and local requirements are met.

Once the city has issued a construction permit -You guessed it – construction can begin.
