Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) has partnered with Florida-based peer tutoring platform Knack to offer free, on-demand tutoring to all students starting Fall 2024. This initiative aims to enhance student retention and success through high-quality tutoring and professional growth opportunities. “Our commitment to student success is unwavering; this additional resource demonstrates our support for all students who attend NWFSC,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President of NWFSC.

With a groundbreaking agreement between Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) and Florida A&M University (FAMU), high school students in Okaloosa County can now pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree while staying local. The partnership allows students to complete two years at NWFSC and then transfer to FAMU’s Crestview Pharmacy Campus, with access to student housing, alleviating housing concerns. Dr. G. Devin Stephenson, NWFSC’s outgoing president, envisions enrolling 30-40 students per class, enhancing the region’s educational opportunities and community impact.
New Opportunities For NWFSC and FAMU Pharmacy Students

New opportunities will soon be available to Northwest Florida State College students. Dr. Larose, the Founding Campus Dean, Director, and Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Institute of Public Health, Durell Peaden, Jr. Rural Pharmacy Education Campus in Crestview, recently announced that FAMU College of Pharmacy and NWFSC will soon sign a 2+4 Articulation Agreement.
The agreement will provide FAMU pharmacy students with on-campus housing at NWFSC and ensure that NWFSC students are smoothly admitted into FAMU College of Pharmacy.
