Niceville 2023 Christmas Parade Green Lit for 1st Saturday in December

This year’s Niceville Christmas Parade will take place on December 2nd, starting at 10 AM.

The parade will take its traditional path, starting at the intersection of Palm and John Sims Parkway, moving down the Parkway, turning onto Mayor Randall Wise Memorial Highway and returning to Palm.

Despite Concerns From Some Commissioners, The Okaloosa Women Veteran’s Monument Will Expand.

It started in the public comment forum of the Okaloosa County Commission meeting on Tuesday afternoon. One by one, women veterans stood at the dais. They voiced their support for expanding the Women Veteran’s Monument on Okaloosa Island at the cost of $1.6 Million raised by the local tourism tax, which would eventually pass unanimously with the board of county commissioners – though not without some reservations.
