A family member who lives at the address was at the home at the time, but Okaloosa Sheriff’s Deputies say the former congressman does not live there.

Deputies cleared the mailbox and did not find a device. They then searched the area near the homebut did not find anything either.

A representative with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says that the threats appear to be a part of an email campaign that went to Gaetz and other people in President-Elect Trump’s orbit.

Requests for a police report from the Sheriff’s Office were denied – as the Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is still active and not immediately available for release.
