The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Homeland Security Unit arrested Niceville resident Marcus Jordan and has charged him with possession of child sexual abuse material.
According to the Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, Michele Nicholson, the Unit “was conducting an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material. The Investigation identified a computer that belonged to Marcus Jordan, which did in fact contain child sexual abuse material.”
The arrest affidavit noted that the material was AI-generated – and that an electronic service provider tipped off the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in March that the computer in question had uploaded the images to their server.
Jordan was arrested by the unit and charged with three counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and taken to the Okaloosa County Jail. After being given his Miranda warning, the statement from the Sheriff’s deputy says Jordan denied having any CSAM on his computer. A statement from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office noted that the investigation is ongoing.
Jordan is currently released on $125,000 bond pending trial. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
