Christian Viljoen entered a plea of not guilty Thursday at the courthouse annex in Fort Walton Beach. 

Viljoen, accused of attacking a minor with a baseball bat in late May, was represented by the public defender, Jason McKinney at the plea entry. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office accuses him of two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is out on a $5,000 bond in relation to the incident. 

Judge John Brown told the court Viljoen would have his next court date on September 12th, 2022, at 9:00 in the morning. The court date will mark three months since the alleged attack.
