WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — Terrell Knox will serve at least 20 years in prison after being sentenced for trafficking large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden.
Judge J. Ryan Love handed down the sentence following Knox’s conviction on charges of trafficking fentanyl (14–28 grams) and trafficking methamphetamine.
The case stemmed from a Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigation in which Knox sold trafficking-level quantities of drugs to a confidential informant. Authorities say that on February 7, 2024, investigators arranged another controlled purchase after previous sales.
During that operation, investigators made contact with. They discovered more than 85 grams of fentanyl and 448 grams of methamphetamine—well above trafficking thresholds under Florida law.
Prosecutors noted Knox’s criminal history, which includes two prior felony convictions for possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor convictions.
Assistant State Attorney Angela Liles prosecuted the case on behalf of the First Judicial Circuit.
