The City of Crestview has announced a new date for the previously postponed Okaloosa County America 250 parade. According to a press release issued Wednesday, the event, now titled the “America 250 Veterans & Patriots Grand Parade,” is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at 11 a.m. along Main Street. A rain date has been designated for Sunday, November 8, at 2 p.m.
Organizers say the parade will feature floats, marching bands, and tributes to veterans. They have named Crestview native and Olympic speedskater Mia Manganello as the Grand Marshal, citing a bronze medal win at the Olympic Winter Games in February. The city is encouraging attendees to wear patriotic or colonial-era attire.
The press release describes the planned event as “one of the largest patriotic gatherings in our county’s history,” intended to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The parade is a joint effort by several local government and civic groups, including the Okaloosa County America 250 Commission, the City of Crestview, the Board of County Commissioners, and local chapters of the Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution.
The Okaloosa County America 250 Commission was formed by a county resolution in January 2026 to coordinate commemorative events throughout the year. The commission is scheduled to operate through January 2027.
