Restaurant operated by military members and veterans recently celebrated 10 years in business.

An iconic presence in the Bluewater Bay community, Toast! Wine Bar, has regrettably closed its doors permanently after more than a decade of serving fine wines and delectable dishes to its loyal patrons.

News about the closure broke on Facebook Monday morning. A post on the page said, “With heavy hearts, Toast is closed permanently. We’re beyond grateful that we had 10 wonderful years in our incredible community. Please do not stop supporting your local businesses because they need you more than ever. I’m forever thankful for our Toast Family.”

The business, owned and operated by military veterans catered to “those with a taste for the “finer things” in life at prices that are just right!” They featured an global wine list and several craft beers. Their menu covered the gamut from small plates, salads, flatbreads, large plates, and desserts.

The post signaled the end of an era, leaving many in the community deeply saddened by the loss of a cherished gathering place. Toast Wine Bar had become a cornerstone of the Bluewater Bay community, known for its exquisite wine selection and its warm and inviting atmosphere that fostered countless memorable moments.

As the community comes to terms with the closure, there has been an outpouring of support and well-wishes for the owners and staff who dedicated themselves to making Toast Wine Bar a special place. Many have expressed gratitude for the beautiful experiences they enjoyed at this local gem over the years.

While the doors of Toast Wine Bar are now closed, there is a glimmer of hope for those who cherish its culinary delights. Reports suggest that the owners are actively working on a cookbook, which may allow patrons to recreate some of their favorite dishes and wine pairings at home.

For those who frequented Toast Wine Bar, the memories created within its walls will undoubtedly be cherished. The establishment was more than a place to enjoy wine and food; it was a hub of community, friendship, and celebration.
