The Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club is hosting a two-day fundraiser to benefit a regional children's hospital

Kiwanis Club to Raise Funds for Children’s Hospital During Two-Day Drive

The Kiwanis Club of Niceville-Valparaiso will hold a two-day fundraising event on May 2 and 3 to support the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola. Club members will collect donations outside Walmart and Winn-Dixie in Niceville, continuing a tradition of raising money for pediatric healthcare in the region.

The fundraiser is part of a long-standing partnership between the local Kiwanis chapter and the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). This nonprofit supports 170 pediatric hospitals across the United States and Canada. The Studer Family Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in Northwest Florida exclusively dedicated to pediatric care and is one of the CMN network hospitals.

The hospital includes the region’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit and offers emergency care, trauma response services, pediatric cancer treatment, and rehabilitation. The facility is affiliated with the University of Florida Health and operates pediatric ambulances and a dedicated helicopter to reach patients throughout the area.

Since beginning its support more than 30 years ago, the Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club has raised nearly $200,000 for the Studer Family Children’s Hospital. Annual two-day collections typically generate around $3,500. All funds raised go directly to support children receiving care at the hospital.

Those unable to attend the in-person collection can contribute by mail. Donors should send funds to Kiwanis Club of Niceville-Valparaiso, P.O. Box 1012, Niceville, FL 32588-1012. Checks should be made payable to “Kiwanis Foundation,” with “CMN” or “Sacred Heart” written in the memo line.
