DESTIN, Fla. — The Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation’s annual “Splash of Gold 2026” is set to return May 16, bringing a full day of swimming, community celebration, and Olympic-level inspiration to the Taj Renee Community Aquatic Center.
This year’s event will feature Olympic gold medalist and world record holder Lilly King, one of the most decorated swimmers in the world.
The day begins with two morning breakout clinics led by King for young competitive swimmers, offering hands-on instruction and elite-level training insight.
In the afternoon, the event shifts into a community Pool Party from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., open to the public for just $5 per person.
The evening portion, running from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., will feature a Cocktail Social including dinner, drinks, and a featured talk by Lilly King. The program will also include the annual induction into the Okaloosa County Swim and Dive Hall of Fame, along with the conclusion of the foundation’s month-long online and in-person auction.
Organizers say Splash of Gold remains the Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation’s primary annual fundraiser, supporting youth fitness, swim development, and community wellness initiatives throughout the region.
Wendy Rudman, Community Outreach Coordinator for the foundation, said the event continues to grow each year, blending competitive sport, community engagement, and philanthropy into one signature day.
