Title: ECAC’s ONE Campaign Returns to Raise Awareness and Funds for Autism Support
In its twelfth year, the Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC) announced the return of “The ONE Campaign,” a fundraiser designed to benefit ECAC and increase local awareness of autism. With the prevalence of autism reaching 1 in 36, The ONE Campaign aims to showcase the impact of autism on individuals’ lives and foster community support.
The ONE Campaign comprises two significant events: The ONE Run 5k and the Hole in ONE Golf Tournament.
Kicking off on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., The ONE Run 5k will take place at the Emerald Coast Autism Center, situated on the campus of Northwest Florida State College. Participants will navigate the scenic NWFSC campus grounds, with the race both starting and finishing at ECAC. Attendees can enjoy the Spork food truck, engaging activities, and a chance to win raffle prizes, creating a vibrant community atmosphere. The proceeds from this event will directly contribute to the ECAC student scholarship fund, supporting students needing financial assistance. You can register for the race here:
ECAC’s growth has been remarkable, from five students to eighty full and part-time students since its establishment in 2009. In addition to providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, ECAC recently opened the doors to the Emerald Coast Learning Center, offering ABA-based academic classrooms and vocational training for young adult students.

The Hole in ONE Golf Tournament, the second component of The ONE Campaign, is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2024, at Blackstone Golf Course in Mossy Head, commencing with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
ECAC has witnessed the transformative impact of its unique approach, combining a one-to-one student-to-therapist ratio with high-quality ABA therapy. Children under their care have achieved significant milestones, from saying their first words to acquiring the ability to function independently. These successes not only change the lives of the children but also positively affect their families.
To continue supporting families and providing top-notch services, ECAC calls upon the community for assistance. There are various ways to contribute to the success of The ONE Campaign, including sponsorship opportunities. By sponsoring this initiative, community members play a vital role in helping young children with autism reach their highest potential.
ECAC extends its gratitude to sponsors and donors for their generosity, emphasizing that these events would not be possible without their support. As the ONE Campaign unfolds, the community’s involvement becomes crucial in making a lasting impact on the lives of children with autism on the Emerald Coast.
