SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. – Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast has hired a new general surgeon, Dr. Trevor Beckham, according to a press release from the hospital system. The hospital is framing the addition as an expansion of its general surgery program.
Dr. Beckham joins Dr. Neal Holm at the facility’s general surgery practice. The announcement stated that both physicians are board-certified in general surgery but did not specify if Dr. Beckham’s hiring increases the total number of surgeons or replaces a departing doctor.
To promote the personnel change, the hospital announced it will hold a public open house and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce. The event is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m. at the Ascension Sacred Heart General Surgery office on Mack Bayou Loop.
