12 Year Old Indicted After Walton School Violence

In Brief:

  • 12-year-old Landon Robinson, a Walton County student, has been indicted on multiple felony charges following a school stabbing incident.
  • Authorities allege the attack was premeditated and involved a knife and mask brought from home.
  • Three people were injured before the suspect was arrested, and the weapon was recovered nearby.

Walton County, Fla. — A Walton County Grand Jury has indicted 12-year-old  Landon Robinson following a violent attack at Walton Middle School on March 24, 2026, that left two students and a teacher injured, according to court records and prosecutors.

The indictment, returned April 6, 2026, charges Landon Robinson with Attempted First Degree Premeditated Murder, two counts of Aggravated Battery while wearing a mask, Possession of a Weapon on School Property while wearing a mask, and Tampering with Evidence.

Investigators say Robinson brought a knife and a mask to school the morning of the incident, allegedly planning the attack in advance. After arriving on campus, he went into a restroom, put on the mask, and then exited into a hallway armed with the weapon.

Authorities allege Robinson then stabbed two 12-year-old students and a school employee “at random,” causing serious injuries. Surveillance footage from the school captured the incident, and witnesses quickly alerted 911 with information that helped law enforcement locate him.

Following the attack, Robinson reportedly fled the school and discarded the knife into a retention pond, where it was later recovered by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

He was taken into custody shortly after the incident by the DeFuniak Springs Police Department and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation was led by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, with Assistant State Attorney Angela Liles prosecuting the case under State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden of Florida’s First Judicial Circuit.
