WALTON COUNTY, FLA — A convicted felon faces multiple felony charges following a narcotics investigation that resulted in the seizure of trafficking amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and a stolen firearm.

On October 9, 2025, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) VICE/Narcotics Unit detained 45-year-old Bobby Womack during an ongoing investigation into narcotics trafficking activity in Walton County.

Womack was located in the lobby of the Red Roof Inn, at 326 Green Acres Drive in DeFuniak Springs. Deputies discovered Womack was in possession of cocaine and a trafficking amount of methamphetamine at the time of his detention. He was taken into custody immediately and transported to Walton County Jail.

A search warrant was executed at Room 212 of the Red Roof Inn, where Womack had been staying. Investigators recovered additional trafficking quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and buprenorphine (Suboxone) pills. A loaded .380 handgun, reported stolen from Polk County, Florida, was also seized.

The search also yielded electronic scales and plastic bags, items commonly associated with the distribution of narcotics.

Womack has multiple prior felony convictions, including a 2023 conviction for possession with intent to sell a controlled substance. He now faces multiple felony charges, including:

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine (14 grams or more)

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription – 3 counts

  • Possession of a Weapon or Ammunition by a Convicted Felon – 2 counts

  • Grand Theft of a Firearm

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  • Possession of Less Than 20 Grams of Cannabis

All substances recovered during the investigation were field tested and yielded presumptive positive results.

“This arrest underscores our continued focus on keeping dangerous narcotics and armed felons off the streets of Walton County,” said Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson. “Our investigators work tirelessly to protect our community from individuals who profit off addiction and bring violence into our neighborhoods.”

Womack remains in Walton County Jail awaiting his first court appearance. Additional charges or arrests may be announced after the ongoing investigation concludes.

The WCSO reminds the public that investigations like this are part of the agency’s broader effort to disrupt illegal drug distribution and prevent weapons from being possessed by convicted felons. Residents who observe suspicious activity are encouraged to contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
