Florida Parks, Florida Prepaid Launch Summer Giveaway

Families in Florida have a new reason to hit the trails this summer. Florida State Parks and the Florida Prepaid College Savings Program have teamed up once again to offer a mix of outdoor fun and educational opportunity.

Through June 30, families can enter to win one of ten prize packages, each including a $1,000 Florida 529 Savings Plan scholarship, a Florida State Parks Family Annual Pass, and a Junior Ranger gift pack with an inflatable paddleboard.

The partnership, now in its fourth year, aims to connect outdoor exploration with long-term educational planning. From ranger-led tours to the self-paced Junior Ranger Program, kids can learn about nature while building a foundation for their future.

โ€œFlorida State Parks inspire curiosity and a love for the outdoors,โ€ said DEP Secretary Alexis A. Lambert. โ€œThis partnership helps families turn that inspiration into real opportunities.โ€

Florida Prepaid Chairman John D. Rood called summer โ€œthe ideal timeโ€ for active learning. The Florida 529 Savings Plan allows families to save for college with flexible contributions starting at $25 per month. There are currently more than 154,000 active accounts totaling $1.3 billion in savings.
