Florida Parks, Florida Prepaid Launch Summer Giveaway

Families in Florida have a new reason to hit the trails this summer. Florida State Parks and the Florida Prepaid College Savings Program have teamed up once again to offer a mix of outdoor fun and educational opportunity.

Through June 30, families can enter to win one of ten prize packages, each including a $1,000 Florida 529 Savings Plan scholarship, a Florida State Parks Family Annual Pass, and a Junior Ranger gift pack with an inflatable paddleboard.

The partnership, now in its fourth year, aims to connect outdoor exploration with long-term educational planning. From ranger-led tours to the self-paced Junior Ranger Program, kids can learn about nature while building a foundation for their future.

“Florida State Parks inspire curiosity and a love for the outdoors,” said DEP Secretary Alexis A. Lambert. “This partnership helps families turn that inspiration into real opportunities.”

Florida Prepaid Chairman John D. Rood called summer “the ideal time” for active learning. The Florida 529 Savings Plan allows families to save for college with flexible contributions starting at $25 per month. There are currently more than 154,000 active accounts totaling $1.3 billion in savings.
