Felisha Carnley to lead Niceville’s newest Catholic school with deep roots in faith and education

Holy Family Catholic Academy has officially named Felisha Carnley as its first-ever principal, setting the tone for the future of the new Classical Liberal Arts school in Niceville.

Carnley, a longtime member of the local Catholic community, brings over 15 years of experience in education, both in the classroom and in leadership roles at the school and district levels. She’s no stranger to many local families, having served at Holy Name of Jesus and Christ Our Redeemer parishes through ministries and volunteer efforts.

Carnley will oversee the launch of Holy Family Catholic Academy’s inaugural academic year in her new role. She’s already played a central part in building the school’s foundation, including co-authoring the curriculum.

“Felisha Carnley is not only an accomplished educator but also a joyful presence in our Catholic community,” school officials said. “Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to forming students in truth, goodness, and beauty.”

Carnley has previously earned the Okaloosa County’s Teacher of the Year title. She holds multiple K–12 certifications in Florida and earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of West Alabama, graduating summa cum laude.

Enrollment for the upcoming school year is underway.
