Fort Walton Beach, Fla. — Two people were taken to the hospital after a shooting late Monday night at the Days Inn on Miracle Strip Parkway in Fort Walton Beach, according to the Fort Walton Beach Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 10:11 p.m. on October 27, 2025. When they arrived at the hotel, located at 135 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Police officers and first responders from the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department and Okaloosa County EMS provided aid at the scene before the victims were taken to HCA Florida Fort Walton–Destin Hospital. Both victims are listed in stable condition, police said.

Investigators developed a suspect soon after arriving on the scene. Police located and arrested the suspect in connection with the shooting a short time later. Authorities have not released the name of the suspect or victims as the investigation remains active.

Fort Walton Beach Police emphasized that the incident was isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses to determine what led up to the gunfire.
