FHP: Crestview Woman Did Not Have A Seatbelt On

a 41-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning at the intersection of Forest Drive and College Boulevard in Niceville at around 7:50.

According to the traffic report, the driver was a resident of Crestview. The report also said the driver was travelling northbound on Forest Road, when she veered left, departed from the roadway, and continued until the car struck a tree on past the gulley on the side of the road.

The car, a blue four-door Ford sedan appeared to have burn marks on its bonnet and hood. Witnesses said they saw a fire crew putting a fire out as the passed after the accident.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.

The driver’s next of kin has been notified, according to The Florida Highway Patrol.
