This Organization Just Donated Almost $2 Million to Local Nonprofits:

Eglin Federal Credit Union (EFCU) is spreading holiday cheer by infusing $1.9 million into the community through contributions to local nonprofits. The funds, generated through EFCU’s Charitable Donation Account, will support a range of projects designed to meet community needs and enhance quality of life.

“This investment aligns with our mission to make a positive impact where our members live, work, worship, or attend school,” said Cathie Staton, President/CEO of Eglin Federal Credit Union.

Beneficiary organizations and their funded projects include:

Air Force Enlisted Village: Design of Victory Village, a military senior living community.

Children in Crisis: Development of a thrift store and acquisition of transit vehicles.

Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation: Capital improvements and a Kids Water Safety Campaign.

Fisher House of the Emerald Coast: Upgrades to its facility serving military families.

Fresh Start for Children and Families: Construction of a storage facility for homeless services.

Habitat for Humanity of Okaloosa County: Building two homes in Crestview, FL.

Habitat for Humanity of Walton County: Support for the Hope Village neighborhood and a delivery truck.

Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation: Scholarships and mentoring via the Take Stock in Children program.

Southeastern Credit Union Foundation: Disaster relief funds for food, shelter, and recovery efforts.

United Way Emerald Coast: Initiatives for ALICE households through the United for ALICE® Fund.
