Mitch Inness came to Niceville High School in 1999 to teach and coach Basketball and
Baseball. Growing up, he played Basketball, Soccer and Baseball. Golf wasn’t on the
radar until later. “I pretty much taught myself to play,” Inness said.

Niceville High School has plenty of smart kids – and the test scores to prove it. The most recent test scores for state standardized tests, known as the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST), showed an improvement from last year – which was already head and shoulders above the state average.
Niceville Athletics looks to score a new field to reduce injuries, expand availability to all.
This field wouldn’t just be for the Football Team – according to Brecthel. “This is a community field, and you can see people using it on the weekends as you drive by on John Sims,” he noted, “every single kid will be able to touch this new field, from the band kids who won’t have to cross the street to practice, to lacrosse and soccer as well.”
