New Catholic School To Open in Niceville in 2025

The Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee has approved Holy Family Catholic Academy in Niceville, opening as a K-4 school this fall with plans to expand to K-8, and will host an open house on February 2.

7th Group Sergeant Killed in Hunting Accident on Eglin

A Seventh Special Forces Group sergeant died after being struck by a stray bullet in a suspected hunting accident on Eglin Air Force Base’s range Sunday morning. Florida Fish and Wildlife agents and the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations are looking into the incident.

NWFSC Baseball Closes In On World Series With Statement Win

Colby Jones and the Northwest Florida State Raiders capitalized on the thinner air and higher elevation of Grand Junction, Colorado, to secure a commanding 13-4 win over Shelton State in the NJCAA Baseball Tournament on Monday. Jones’ stellar performance, featuring two home runs and seven RBIs, was pivotal in overturning an early 3-0 deficit and propelling the Raiders further in the tournament.
