Chorus Part of 2024 Lineup

Ruckel Middle School’s Chorus has been invited to perform as a “Featured Ensemble” at New York’s prestigious Lincoln Center on March 16th, 2024. This invitation is a significant achievement, as only two other middle schools have ever been invited to perform at the Featured Ensemble spot at Lincoln Center, according to Jeff Cachero at National Tours.

The Ruckel Middle School Chorus recently demonstrated their musical prowess at the Music in the Parks event at Dollywood on April 22nd, 2023. They gained three scores of first place during the competition, three superior ratings, and won the Best Overall Middle School Chorus award.

Director Christian Feazell expressed his delight at the invitation to perform at Lincoln Center, saying, “We are thrilled to be invited to perform at the Lincoln Center. It is a great honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students.”

In preparation for their performance at Lincoln Center, members of the Ruckel Middle School Chorus, along with Director Feazell, will be at the Niceville Farmer’s Market in Palm Plaza on April 29th from 9 AM to 1 PM. They will be showcasing the Okaloosa School District car, a stunning 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air that has been donated to the school district and will be part of a prize drawing.

This news is a source of pride for the Ruckel Middle School community and the Okaloosa School District, and they wish the Ruckel Middle School Chorus all the best as they prepare for their performance at Lincoln Center.
