Ruckel Chorus to Sing At Lincoln Center in NYC

Ruckel Middle Chorus, 68-strong, is taking over Lincoln Center on March 16, 2024, with six captivating pieces, including a collaboration with the Experiential Orchestra.

The spotlight is on the Ruckel Middle Chorus as they prepare to entertain the audience at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City, on March 16, 2024.

Under artistic guidance of Director Christian Feazell and Collaborative Pianist Harry Larimer, the 68-member strong chorus will become the third middle school ever to grace stage at Lincoln Center.

The Ruckel Middle School Chorus has invested countless hours into perfecting their craft. Rehearsing both during and after school hours and at home, these young musicians showcase a commitment and passion for music that is truly commendable, striving for excellence in every note and harmony.

Beyond their anticipated performance, the chorus members will embark on a cultural exploration of New York City, delving into its historical richness. Planned visits to iconic landmarks and an enchanting evening at Broadway’s “Wicked” are on the agenda. Adding a touch of professional flair to their journey, the musicians will also have the unique opportunity to rehearse at the prestigious Open Jar Studios.

Come March 16, 2024, the Ruckel Middle School Chorus is poised to deliver an unforgettable performance on one of the world’s most prestigious stages. With six meticulously chosen pieces, including a collaboration with the Experiential Orchestra (EXO), the evening promises to celebrate talent, dedication, and an unyielding passion for music.

The Experiential Orchestra (EXO), formed in 2009, is renowned for championing under-celebrated composers. This concert will spotlight the music of Julia Perry, a composer whose significance has been overlooked for decades. The orchestra’s upcoming album, “American Counterpoints,” centered around Perry’s Violin Concerto and featuring five-time Grammy-nominee Curtis Stewart, is set to release on March 1, 2024.

The collaboration between the Ruckel Middle Chorus, Christian Feazell, Harry Larimer, and the Experiential Orchestra promises to be a musical experience of unparalleled brilliance. Together, they will shine a spotlight on the remarkable compositions and performances that define the very essence of their craft, making this a night to remember for all in attendance.
