The Rocky Bayou Christian Knights will take the field with a new head ball coach this fall. KC Woods will take the position as head knight and high school assistant principal.
Woods comes to Rocky from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA) with seven years of head coaching experience. He has a 51-25 record and boasts a playoff appearance in every year he has served as head coach.
Woods runs a spread offense and a 4-3 defense.
In addition to his experience on the football field – Woods has 10 years’ experience in education and a master’s degree in Ministry. He is an alumni of Marian University – Indianapolis.
According to his bio on CHCA’s website, Woods believes his mission is “to use football as a way to help young people grow towards their full potential spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.”
Woods is married and has two children.
Coach Woods has his work cut out for him. Rocky Bayou has had one winning season, a 6-4 campaign in 2021, with a 19-28 record overall for the last half-decade.
The only game listed for the 2023 season is an opener against Snook Christian Academy of Foley, Alabama. Football season begins for the Knights on August 25th.
