State Representative Patt Maney of Florida’s House District 4 traveled to Texas yesterday as part of a delegation of Florida legislators. The group will learn about Florida’s support for Texas in its battle against illegal immigration and its efforts to improve border security.
Maney’s Facebook page says the trip is privately funded and does not use taxpayer money. He added that he will visit the city of Eagle Pass, Texas in the area between Laredo and Del Rio Texas.
The delegation of Florida legislators aims to gain insight into the strategies and challenges Texas faces in securing its border.
Representative Maney and his fellow representatives will explore potential collaborative efforts between the two states to address immigration issues.
Starting Wednesday, representative Maney will provide real-time updates during his trip through his official Facebook page.
