The event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society, will take place on the 13th of May. The walk starts at 6pm.

“We share a passion to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer,” said Susan O’Neil, with Relay for Life, “In 2022, almost 1.9 million new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. Thanks to that shared passion, the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society can’t be stopped, ensuring we are here for everyone who needs us.”

Members of the Niceville, Valparaiso and Bluewater Bay Communities will start the event by walking a lap to honor survivors and caregivers. The Northwest Florida Contingent of the American Cancer Society will provide dinner for the event as well.

More than 500,000 people participate in the relay for life every year.

The Relay For Life of the Emerald Coast Organizers ask that you join a relay for life team. You can find a link to do that – here.

The organizers also encourage you to donate.
