Food Trucks Start Their Grills to Support Rally for Rest Saturday.

Food trucks from across the Emerald Coast will gather at Niceville’s 3rd Planet Brewing to support A Bed 4 Me’s Rally for Rest on Saturday, May 14th.

Rally for Rest will kick off at 5PM and end at 9PM.

A portion of the proceeds will support A Bed 4 Me’s mission – to ensure every child has a comfortable place to sleep at night.

The following food trucks have signed on for this weekend’s rally:

  • B’s Smoking BBQ
  • Kookn
  • Thai2Go
  • Curry in a Hurry
  • Cafe Rico
  • Dippin Dots

All of the vendors will serve smaller-than-average portions so that patrons can try all of the selections available.

Clinch46 will provide live music at the venue as well.

A Bed 4 Me will hold a raffle as well. The drawing will take place at 8PM. Winner gets a beach weekend!

You can buy tickets here.

More about A Bed 4 Me

A Bed 4 Me is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization headquartered in northwest Florida which serves children in Okaloosa County and Walton County who do not have an adequate place to sleep at night.

The charity “understands the critical role of sleep in a child’s development, health, academic performance and self-esteem,” according to their website.

In order to improve children’s lives, the charity provides many kids with bedding kits at no cost to the children in need. Children from the ages of 2 to 18 from low and middle-income families in the Okaloosa and Walton County areas qualify. Families in an economic crisis or those fleeing domestic violence are encouraged to apply at their website.

The charity encourages members of the community to get involved and change the lives of the children they help as well.
