Niceville Sees Increase in Arrests Despite Decrease in Calls to Police

The Officers and support staff of the Niceville Police and Fire Departments recorded an increase in the number of arrests from this time last year. 

Police made a total of 19 arrests in October, 2023 – compared to 16 in October of 2022. However, 1,000 fewer calls to the police department were made in october of 2023 than in October of 2022.

Arrests have continued to drop since a spike in August saw 37 arrests inside city limits. 

On average, police have made 21.75 arrests per month in Niceville. 

The city’s police force will participate in an annual active shooter exercise in the city
