Niceville took a tough loss on the road Friday night against perennial district rival Mosley.
The Mosley Dolphins electric offense provided the engine for the team to motor past Niceville in the second half of the ball game – after Niceville entered the locker rooms at halftime with a single-point lead.
Mosley’s defense held the Niceville Offense to 28 points, a season-low for the Eagles.
Despite the loss, the Eagles are still in the conversation for a postseason berth come November, should they defeat the Lincoln Trojans at home on October 18.
The Trojans are no pushover, though. The Tallahassee-based team is 6-1 on the year as well and is currently ranked #26 in the state to Niceville’s #44. Their only loss this year is to a powerful Gadsden County team in a 31-21 contest.
The game, as always, will kick off at 7:00 PM Central at Eagle Stadium in the heart of Niceville.
