A local chapter of the Knights of Columbus has announced it will hold its sixth annual Oktoberfest fundraiser at 3rd Planet Brewing on Saturday, Sept. 19. According to the organization’s press release, the event is scheduled to run from noon to 9 p.m. at the Niceville brewery.
The group, Knights of Columbus Council 13527, said it will sell brats, sauerkraut, German potato salad, and hot dogs at the event. The announcement also noted that German music is planned from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. An affiliated organization, the Council of Catholic Women, will reportedly be offering baked goods for donations.
Organizers claim that all proceeds from the food sales will be donated to charity. The Knights of Columbus listed several organizations as beneficiaries of its fundraising efforts, including the Twin Cities Pavilion, Special Olympics, and Children in Crisis.
