The Mosquito Control Division reminds residents that controlling the mosquito population is a shared effort. While trucks and technicians cover public areas, homeowners can help by dumping standing water from bird baths, plant saucers, and bucketsโany container that can collect rainwater is a potential breeding ground.
โOur goal is to reduce the mosquito population and help keep families safe and comfortable outdoors,โ said a spokesperson from Public Works. โBut it takes a team effort. Community members can do a lot just by checking their own yards.โ
