3rd annual event to support seniors

The Niceville Senior Center Foundation is gearing up for its 3rd Annual Passport to Health event, which aims to promote health and wellness to older adults. On Thursday, April 13, adults aged 55 and above are invited to attend the free event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Niceville Senior Center located at 201 Campbell Drive in Niceville, Florida.

Over 30 community partners and organizations will gather at the Senior Center to provide presentations and educational materials aimed at promoting general health and wellness among older adults. The health fair aims to create a collective forum to raise awareness for health promotion and prevention, helping attendees achieve their highest level of wellness.

My Ohana and Comfy Food 2 Go food trucks will be on-site to provide lunch, while snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day. Attendees will have the chance to win door prizes throughout the event, with a grand prize of $300 for one lucky participant. Participants do not need to be present to win the grand prize.

According to Julie Mooney, media contact for the City of Niceville, the event promises to be a great opportunity for older adults to learn about maintaining good health and wellness. “Passport to Health is a fantastic event that brings together a variety of organizations and community partners to educate and promote wellness to our older adult population,” said Mooney.

The event is free and open to all adults aged 55 and above. For more information about the event, please contact the City of Niceville.
