Niceville Republicans to Host Congressional Candidate Forum

Looks like little ‘ol Niceville will once again become a hotspot for political activity next Monday, January 6.

All but one Republican candidate for the Congressional Seat vacated by Former Congressman Matt Gaetz will show up to the Eglin Golf Course at 6 PM for a forum hosted by the Niceville Republican Women.

If you’d like to go to the meeting, you can reserve a seat with the Niceville Republican Women by reaching out to Libby Hill at ehilly@cox.net or Mo Young at youngmm@cox.net.

The candidates in attendance will be (as of Monday afternoon)

  • Aaron Dimmock, Escambia County
  • Kevin J Gaffney, Walton County
  • Jeff Macey, Okaloosa County
  • Greg Merk, Escambia County
  • John Mills, Santa Rosa County
  • Jimmy Patronis, Okaloosa County
  • Jeff Peacock, Santa Rosa County
  • Joel Rudman, Santa Rosa County
  • Michael Dylan Thompson, Escambia County
  • Gene Valentino, Escambia County

An earlier version of this story, that was exclusive to our newsletter subscribers (you can sign up for free at midbaynews.com/newsletter to become one) said that Aaron Dimmock would not attend the forum. The Niceville Republican Party told Mid Bay News this afternoon that Dimmock would, in fact, be in attendance at the forum.

Cost of attendance is $20 for dinner and the event officially kicks off at 5:15 pm, with the forum itself starting at 6:00 pm.

Mid Bay News will have a reporter there to cover the event
