The Niceville community mourned the loss of local food truck owner Mike Ledford this weekend.
Ledford and his family own the popular My Ohana Food Truck and are preparing to open a restaurant.
He died Friday evening. Niceville police have not said whether or not they are investigating his death as a homicide.
The Niceville community has rallied around the Ledford family – starting a GoFundMe that has already raised $50,000 of their $100,000 goal – in less than 48 hours. If you want to help the Ledford family, head to their GoFundMe page and donate below.
Social media has been awash in thoughts and prayers for the Ledford family and memories of Mike from friends near and far.
A post by 3rd Planet Brewing has some of the best posts about Mike. People are encouraged to post their memories there. Click below for that post.
We want this page to be a resource for anyone who wants to help the Ledfords.
If you know of any other initiatives to help the family email us and let us know, so we can add it here.
We love to bring you, and all of your neighbors, the news for free – it’s a part of who we are. But just because something is free doesn’t mean it’s cheap.
Your sustaining donation of just $10 per month helps us keep the powerful accountable and make the mortgage on time. If you notice you keep coming back for more stories from us – please consider supporting our work so we can do it for the long haul (and not be homeless).
