Niceville’s City Council made it’s decision about the charities and non-profits it will support in 2023. In total, the city was asked for about $28,000 in donations from various agencies and approved $22,500.
Charities and non-profits include:
Bridgeway Center: $1,600. The Bridgeway center, located in Fort Walton Beach, is a mental health services provider that helps people countywide.
The Okaloosa-Walton Early Learning Coalition: $1,800. The Early Learning Coalition of the Emerald Coast works to ensure every child is ready to succeed in school by the time their enter primary education.
Guardian Ad Litem: $1,600. Guardian Ad Litem works to represent and defend children who’ve suffered from abuse with volunteers who advocate on their behalf.
Northwest Florida Heritage Museum: $1,600. The Heritage Museum, located in Valparaiso, preserves the history of our area through artifacts, displays and cultural events.
