The Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries at Northwest Florida State College will host a new exhibition titled “Phantasmagoria: Dreams and Realities,” featuring the work of artist and professor Victoria Goro-Rapoport. The exhibition opens October 8, 2026, and runs through February 28, 2027, at the college’s Niceville campus.
The college says the exhibit includes 40 etchings and 80 photographs exploring themes of science, technology, and philosophy. In a statement, gallery director Jennifer Wren Daugette described the title “Phantasmagoria” as a reference to a “shifting sequence of dreamy, sometimes strange, scenes that may or may not be real.”
A public reception is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. Goro-Rapoport is expected to deliver an artist talk at 5 p.m. The college announced the event will include custom pastries by chef Lasheeda Perry, who has previously appeared on the Food Network.
The Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries are located in Building 110 at 100 College Blvd. E. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
