NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida State College announced it is partnering with the nonprofit Veterans Florida to offer a new entrepreneurship program aimed at military veterans, service members, and their spouses. The program includes a series of workshops in late 2026, followed by a six-month training cohort beginning in January 2027.
According to the college, the program is designed to help participants translate their skills into new business ventures. Introductory workshops scheduled for November and December will cover topics such as business financing, licensing, and local resources for small businesses. A more in-depth, six-month cohort scheduled to begin January 27 will provide further guidance and training for those looking to launch or grow a business.
The program may subsidize participation for eligible veterans, members of the National Guard or Reserves, and their spouses through funding from Veterans Florida and the state legislature, the college said. For those not eligible for the subsidy, the cost is listed as $25 per workshop or $250 for the six-month cohort.
All sessions are scheduled for Wednesday evenings. For more information on eligibility and to apply, the college directs interested individuals to its website or to contact its workforce development department at 850-729-4994.
