Bestselling author Daniel Handler, known by his pen name Lemony Snicket, will visit Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) as part of the NWF READS series. Handler, widely recognized for A Series of Unfortunate Events, will host a free community reading at 7 p.m. on April 16 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Mainstage Theater in Niceville.


Open to the public, the event will include a book signing, with priority access granted to the first 75 attendees. Books will be available for purchase at the venue.

โ€œNWF READS brings beloved literary figures to our campus, and we are thrilled to welcome Lemony Snicket this year,โ€ said Kandice Mollitiam, READS coordinator and assistant professor at NWFSC. โ€œWe look forward to engaging our community in this special event.โ€

NWF READS Week, which leads up to the main event, will include a book drive from April 14-17. Donations of books in good condition can be dropped off at NWFSCโ€™s Communications, English & Social Science office on the Niceville campus or at the April 16 event.
