Impact 100 of Northwest Florida, a women’s philanthropy organization, seeks members for their 2023 Membership Year. The group is looking for 100 women who will donate $1,000 each to form a $100,000 grant to be awarded to a local nonprofit organization that has put together a transformational project to take the organization to a new level.

The grants are awarded to nonprofits in five focus areas: Arts and Culture, Education, Environment, Recreation & Preservation, Family, and Health and Wellness. Last year, the organization had 532 members and awarded five $100,000 grants. Since its inception in 2012, Impact100 Northwest Florida has granted over $4.1 million to thirty-eight local nonprofit groups in the area.

According to Carly Barnes, the President of Impact 100 of Northwest Florida, the organization looks forward to providing at least five nonprofits with transformational funding in 2023. She added that the needs of the community continue to increase. The more members that join each year, the more the organization can support the nonprofits that are doing so much to care for the neighbors in Walton and Okaloosa Counties.

The membership drive is open through June 15. There are several upcoming membership recruitment events, including a presentation by Impact100 NWF leadership and previous grant recipients. The events will occur on Tuesday, April 25, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at Ruth Chris Steakhouse, and on Wednesday, May 10, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at JoJo’s Coffee & Goodness. More information about membership options is available here

The mission of Impact100 of Northwest Florida is to financially support nonprofit organizations in Okaloosa and Walton Counties by empowering women as philanthropists and leaders, bridging the geographic areas of the region, and leveraging the talents of diverse women to be a positive force for good in the community.
