Governor DeSantis Names Hinely to Replace Kelley on Okaloosa School Board

Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Brett Hinely to the Okaloosa County School Board, effective August 2, 2024. Hinely replaces Dr. Diane Kelley, who resigned her seat on the Okaloosa School Board to take the principal job at Destin High School.

 

More About Brett Hinely

 

As the President of Cove Marine, Inc. and Bluewater High & Dry, Hinely has established himself as a leader in the marine industry. He also serves as the Director of Marina Cove Realty, LLC and Freedom Distributions, LLC.

 

Hinely served in the United States Air Force, and has also held the position of president of the Marine Industries Association of Northwest Florida.

 

He also serves as a member of the Eglin Air Force Armament Museum Foundation Board of Directors.

 

Hinely holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Auburn University.

 

Hinely’s first School Board Meeting should be on the first day of school, August 12, 2024.
