NICEVILLE, FL – A Georgia man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon on the shoulder of State Road 85. The Niceville Police Department identified the suspect as Glen Primeaux, 25, who now faces an open count of murder.
According to a statement released by police, officers responded to reports of shots fired near the Mid-Bay Bridge connector around 3:49 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, they reported finding a deceased individual in the median next to a parked black BMW SUV. Police located two men at the scene and detained them for questioning.
Investigators allege the shooting stemmed from a verbal argument that began inside the vehicle between Primeaux and the victim. The police claim that after the SUV was stopped on the northbound shoulder, Primeaux shot the victim multiple times.
Primeaux was subsequently arrested and booked into the Okaloosa County Jail. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or the status of the second individual who was detained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
