Geek Lights on the Corner Up and Running for Another Year

The 17th annual geek lights on the coast has begun in Bluewater Bay. The show is located at the home of Jeff Werner on the corner of Bluewater Boulevard and Antiqua Way.

The event features thousands of synchronized lights and music displays, and began December 2. The shows run through January 6 anmd start at 6:00 PM. Shows last about 30 minutes and run back to back Sunday through Thursday until 9:30 PM and 10:30 on Fridays, Saturdays and Holiday Eves.

Sharing and Caring of Niceville has been selected as the event’s sponsored charity this year. The all-volunteer organization provides resources for families in need. “We are so grateful to be chosen as the 2024 designated charity for Geek Lights on the Corner,” said Mari Plante, President of Sharing and Caring. “The generosity of the Geek Lights on the Corner fans will make a big difference in the lives of those families who are choosing between paying the rent and buying groceries.”

The event will accept donations for Sharing and Caring through a cash box, QR code for electronic contributions, and non-perishable food items collected during the show.

Created and run by Jeff Werner, known as the “Northwest Florida Geek,” and his wife, Wendy Werner, the display has become a popular local tradition.

Jeff Werner is also known for his weekly technology column, “It’s Geek to Me,” which is featured online at ItsGeekToMe.co.
