On January 12, 2023, Circuit Court Judge Terrance Ketchel sentenced Eldon David Garlough to 10 1⁄2 years in Florida’s Department of Corrections followed by 10 years of Sexual Offender Probation.
On November 16, 2022, Eldon David Garlough was found guilty by an Okaloosa County jury of ten counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material and enhancements on each after about an hour of deliberation.
The case began with law enforcement using programs to identify those possessing child sexual abuse materials using peer-to-peer software.
Their investigation led law enforcement officers to the Defendant, and they executed
a search on his home on March 3, 2021.
Child sexual abuse materials were located on two devices in Defendant’s home.
The case was investigated by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children Division).
