Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputies say they busted a Freeport Man with a cornucopia of drugs after they smelled weed coming from his car.
A sheriff’s deputy pulled over Antonio Carlton Tyus at the CVS Pharmacy as he passed through Bluewater Bay on Saturday, March 9th, after allegedly failing to stop for a stop sign.
The deputy who arrested Tyus removed him from the car and searched the vehicle for anything illegal. He came up with several illicit substances – including eight grams that field-tested positive for fentanyl, a container with a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, and two smoking devices with marijuana residue.
Tyus said he did not know to whom the black vial and blue container belonged.
Having more than four grams of fentanyl is classified by Florida Law as trafficking. Suspects found guilty of trafficking in heroin can get between three and twenty-five years in prison.
